Guatemala covered in black sand.
On May 27 the Pacaya volcano (just 19 miles from the capital) woke up in a bad mood. Lava flowed, black sand and rock and ash spewed everywhere. A reporter covering the news near the volcano was killed by flying rocks.
All this damages, and the sand raining foreced thousands of people to flee their homes and disrupting air traffic as ash drifted over major cities.
Guatemala's Pacaya volcano started erupting lava and rocks Thursday afternoon, blanketing the country's capital with ash and forcing the closure of the international airport
"In Guatemala, at least 1,910 people from villages closest to the Pacaya volcano were moved to shelters. Some 800 homes were damaged in the initial eruption late Thursday. A second eruption at midday Friday released ash in smaller amounts from the 8,373-foot mountain", according to the Central American country's Geophysical Research and Services Unit.

Horrible Agatha
Agatha, a storm with it horrible rains and winds destroy over 18 breaches.
156 deaths so far and still people missing.
I was coming back from my prom trip at Izabal and Peten.
It was around 4pm on a cold and rainy day of one Saturday may 29th, we were all scared about traveling in a small bus on those conditions.
Some of my friends claim: We should wait until the rain stops and return home tomorrow. But the fact was that we needed to be at Guatamala on Saturday, no matter what.
While we were on the bus, the rain started to get worst and worst. We could see how the rivers and also the lake were starting to raise faster, we were scared.
Almost all the parents called scared saying that the storm was near us, the paranoia started.
The girls screaming asking the teacher to find a safe place to spend the night, honestly… I just wanted to be home.
After hours of fear we finally reach Gutemala city, covered in sand. The weather was cold and the sky looked even darker than it normally looks.
Horrible news, we were on a gas station when my teacher recived a text message THE STORM WAS ON IZABAL!.
The Motagua river was all over the breach and there was no way to pass, it was amazing! A complete chaos on the place we leave a few hours ago. Everything was a mess back in Izabal.
This storm forms that Saturday on the waters of the Pacific Ocean and it moved to Guatemala.
The rains were unbelievable.

The last important earthquake my country suffer.
It brought pain and death to Guatemala the early morning of july 4th at 03:03:33 hours. It magnitude was of 7.5 degrees over the Ritcher scale.
The reason was the failure of the river Motagua, that goes over the 80% of national territory.
17 of 22 departments of Guatemala suffer from the catastrophe and were destroy because of the phenomenon.
Over 25 millions of people died and more than a million ended homeless.
The earthquake tooke 30 to 40 seconds, having it first movement vertical and then an horizontal.
The movement was such big that lots of people couldn’t even stand up form bed and others were on the flour.
Students were forced to help on the reconstruction of other structures.
It was a huge impact for the social and economical parts of the country.
